About
Inger Heggland
My name now is Inger O'Hanlon and I live in Gibsons, B.C.I started my singing career in 1965 when I replaced Bobby Faulds in the Canadian Strangers. This band split up when Doug Edwards (lead guitar player) moved to Vancouver to play bass guitar at Oil Can Harry's. I then sang for Gulliver's Travels with Dave Kissinger, Steve Pugsley et.al. After a few years off, I sang as lead vocalist at the Old Forge around 1969-70 with Morry Stearnes and others. I sang with Moxie after that and then finally with Fresh Air with Morry Strarnes, Norm MacPherson, Jerry Adolphe, Rick Truman (whom I married in 1972). We had three children, Lucas (1975), Sarah Jane (1982) and Katie (1984) - all very musical. We moved to Vancouver in 1982 when Rick took a job as suit (and eventually partner) in Palmer Jarvis Advertising. We divorced in 1991 and I married Dr. David O'Hanlon (rheumatologist). I received my M.A. in Counselling Psychology in 1992 and was in private practice in North Vancouver until about 2000. In 2004 my husband and I moved to Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast. The only singing I do currently is with a mixed ensemble called Espiritu conducted my Gillian Hunt in North and West Vancouver. I would love to connect with any of the old band guys!!
