Blues X Five

circa 1965 - circa 1969
In the photo L-R Richard Moore, Ron Flatman,Norm MacPherson, John Fisher and Ed Wright circa 1967.

In 1967, in a little British Colonial city, Victoria British Columbia came an incredible electric Blues Band. THE BLUES X FIVE was at the time, probably one of the top ten blues bands in North America. Living in the USA I have seen the best and Blues X Five are one of the best. So good they opened for THE DOORS. The lineup of the group I was very involved with, and I think the best of the many versions of the group was ED WRIGHT, vocals and harp, NORM MacPHERSON, lead guitar, RICHARD MOORE, lead and rhythm guitar, JOHN FISHER bass and the incredible RON FLATMAN drums. These guys were mere kids but could have stood up to the early STONES. Those were incredible days in the mid 1960's. Probably never to be repeated. Source David Glover
