Blues Summit 2

The Victoria Jazz Society is proud to present our fundraising evening, the 2nd annual Blues Summit…a meeting of Victoria’s blues superstars! On Saturday, October 17 you will dance to the blues music of Bill Johnson and his All-Star Blues Band, featuring Tom Lavin (of Powder Blues), Lisa Mann (of Paul Delay Band), Hugh Fraser, David Vest (of Paul Delay Band), Gerry Barnum (of Sue Medley), Pat Steward (of Bryan Adams, Colin James and The Odds), Darcy Phillips (of Jann Arden and Bill Johnson Blues Band), John Hunter (of Bill Johnson Blues Band) and Rick Erickson (of Bill Johnson Blues Band).

There will be a no-host bar available throughout the evening, as well as snack food for purchase.

Beginning at 8pm, the Victoria Jazz Society will be holding a silent auction featuring a wide variety of amazing items, so be prepared to shop! (Debit cards, credit cards, cash and cheques will be accepted).

All net proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the operations of the Victoria Jazz Society. This includes next year’s presentation of the 16th Annual Vancouver Island Blues Bash and the Victoria Jazz Society’s Outreach Program, which provides free concerts to the public and workshop/clinics by touring musicians to local music students and musicians at no cost to attendees.
