Steve Charles is a musician, performer, composer and musical director from Vancouver. Highlights of the past few years include: Galala; national francophone TV show, Urinetown at the Firehall Theatre Avenue Q at the Arts Club, Brief Encounter at the Vancouver Playhouse/MTC, Dance Marathon at Bluemouth Inc. (international tours), Pacifique en Chanson and Chant Ouest, Salmon Row the outdoor spectacular, by Mortal Coil, sound design for Traces at Theatre la Seizieme, Boca del Lupo shows; Vasily the Luckless, The House of Sleeping Beauties, The Perfectionist, and The Shoes That Were Danced to Pieces, and Mesa by Third Street Theatre. He works closely with Tracey Power with their company the Escape Artists and recently co-produced and MD Miss Shakespeare and J. Caesar. He also MD's and acts in their acclaimed production of Chelsea Hotel at the Firehall Theatre and at theatres across Canada. He tours internationally with bands Viper Central, The Redboot Quartet and The Fugitives and is very active in Vancouver's music scene.
