With the passing of the millennium, The Doors remain as timelessly potent as ever. It's very rare for a group to have achieved such musical proportions and influence on the public in such a short period of time (1966-1971). In celebration of this amazing artistic feast, The Unknown Soldiers were formed and take their name from one of The Doors most political songs. The members strive to bring back to the stage the same artistic intensity The Doors possessed. The blend of Jim Morrison's presence and words, the signature style of pianist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger's well-crafted blend of guitar riffs and wails, and John Densmore's explosive seasoning of jazz drumming are all covered in this one-of-a-kind Doors tribute band.
Experiencing an Unknown Soldiers performance, one could swear he/she were being transported back in time to the Summer of Love, to the infamous Whiskey A Go Go watching musical history unfold.
Shawn: Shawn's fingers are said to be possessed by Bach himself! Akin to Ray Manzarek, Shawn is a classically trained pianist - having studied piano from an early age. When this writer/composer is not playing piano and keyboards for The Unknown Soldiers, he can be found collaborating on original music projects and movie soundtracks.
Andy: Andy Is the newest addition to the band. His hard hitting percussive phrasing and masterful punctuation is highly suited for emulating the thunderous rhythm style of John Densmore. Andy also performs with "The Manville's" and other various musical endeavors.
Regan: "The Invisible Bass Player". If every Doors' session bass player could be rolled into one and repackaged as a new member of The Doors, that man would certainly be Regan. Regan's smooth bottom-end bass lines allow The Unknown Soldiers to perform certain Doors' songs live that would prove most difficult with only a Fender piano bass. Regan Also performs in his original project "Uncle Weasel."
Pete Bowman: Pete Bowman's love of philosophy and all things Esoteric has provided him with the ammunition to take on the challenging role of Jim. Many years experience singing has provided this baritone with the tools to emulate the man who some thought was a poet, a shaman, or an all-out wild child! Pete Bowman can also be found performing the old school bules with "The Blues Door."
