Called “one of their most anticipated records of 2006” by Revolver and Alternative Press magazines, Supremacy is the fourth record from Hatebreed. The band’s first for Roadrunner Records, it’s the most intense album the decade-old act has made. The record deftly illustrates all the things that have made Hatebreed one of the underground heavy metal scene's most beloved and important bands of the past decade. It also presents a new and improved Hatebreed, who reconnected with fans with a sold-out tour before going into the studio to record an album as hulking as it is tight, and as tough as it positive. Frontman Jamey Jasta pens lyrics that speak of hope, rising above, and believing in yourself. It is precisely those qualities that will allow Supremacy to connect with the kids on a profound level. The disc combines the raw, intense bite of the Connecticut quintet’s debut, Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire, with the tectonic-plate-shifting power of Perseverance, resulting in their best effort to date. Supremacy contains the cathartic, cleansing “Destroy Everything” and the anthemic “Defeatist,” the chorus of which the Hatebreed faithful will scream at the top of their lungs at shows. After all, Hatebreed’s fans give back to the band, just like the band gives itself to the fans, showing the redemptive, cyclical power of their music.

The last year has been a busy one of rising momentum for the Grammy-nominated band, which played the 2006 Ozzfest main stage, while lead vocalist Jamey Jasta performed hosting duties on MTV2’s Headbangers Ball. Yet Hatebreed is more committed than ever to showing the world why its throne atop the heavy metal kingdom with Supremacy is firmly intact. Ultimately, Supremacy is a testament to renewal and reconnecting. It is also the defining statement of one of metal's most important, most supreme bands.
