The name Sound Trooper is known around the world in the Reggae Dancehall genre as the talented sound killing machine. Known to his friends as Ricky Trooper the deejay got his name as a youth while playing in a marching band called the Magnificent Troopers. The deejay is infamous for his skills in the art of sound clashing. Although having played for many sound systems prior to his solo career, Sound Trooper attained global recognition for his days with the legendary sound system Killamanjaro. As one of Jamaica’s most notorious deejays, he performs in Vancouver for the very first time.
