Event Description
On Sale Fri, Feb 10 @ 10amThree albums into their career, Thursday has emerged as one of the most exciting acts in rock. A passionately involved unit whose sincerity drips from every blazing guitar riff and wrenching vocal line, the New Jersey band emerged from the indie scene after selling over 200,000 copies of their second album Full Collapse. Performing on the Warped Tour only cemented the buzz over the group, which culminated in the release of their Island Records debut War All The Time, a stunning work that fulfills Thursday’s early promise while pointing the band in exciting new directions. With a fourth album finished, Thursday is getting back on the road to share their eagerly awaited new material with their growing legion of fans.
Word of Suicide Squeeze recording artists Minus the Bear is spreading rapidly beyond the band’s Pacific Northwest fanbase. On the Seattle group’s two full-length albums and three EPs - smooth, gliding melodies, complex guitar patterns and intricate rhythms add up to an especially resonant brand of pop, one that is equally engaging on a technical and emotional level. Menos El Oso, Minus the Bear’s 2005 album, has been roundly hailed for the maturation and distillation of the band’s uniquely catchy sound.
mewithoutYou is a Philadelphai four-piece whose full-length debut Catch For Us the Foxes is quickly catching on in the indie community, gobbling up four-star reviews and sending critics into paroxysms of verbiage. Dropping free-verse style lyrics over a heavy Fugazi vibe with jagged guitar and rumbling grooves, mewithoutYou spits out instantly memorable lines that will have you thinking long after the dancing’s over.
Formerly known as Unsound, We.re All Broken has been around in one form or another since 1996 when it began gigging in the New York/New Jersey hardcore punk scene. Campaign Moving Slow, the band’s latest, is it’s most accomplished and satisfying release yet in its combination of melody and intensity.
