Event Description

On Sale 10am Feb 9

A sensation back home in Europe, dEUS is known to relatively few North Americans. But that's all about to change. The Antwerp band is releasing Pocket Revolution, its fourth album of new material, and its first new record in five years, and is about to tour Canada and the U.S.

With a sound that grounds experimentalism and ebullient eclecticism in resounding, reverberating songwriting, dEUS is simply one of the most exciting and interesting alternative rock bands to come out of Europe in the last decade. The band has played festivals throughout Europe and songs like "Sister Drew" and "The Ideal Crash" crashed European playlists, while tastemakers like Radiohead and REM discovered dEUS.

Thousands of fans were crushed when, following the critical hit “Ideal Crash” in 1999, the band members decided to work on separate projects (including singer Tom Barman, who wrote and directed his first film, Any Way the Wind Blows). But, with the release of Pocket Revolution, those fans' faith has been restored, while a whole new new generation (and continent) of fans are about to discover dEUS.
