“Ranging from straight-on gospel to blues and Stax-style soul, the music is grounded in Farris’ faith and his sublime musicianship.” – POPMATTERSGuitarist/vocalist Mike Farris is the definition of putting one’s soul into art. In addition to his 2015 GRAMMY win for “Best Roots Gospel Album,” Shine For All The People, Farris is an Americana and Dove Music Award winner with multiple solo recordings, including his last full length release, Silver and Stone. Farris was also the frontman of mainstream 90s rock group The Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies. This extraordinary performer releases a new record this summer. A mix of spiritual and earthly, of gospel and country, of R&B, blues, and rock ‘n’ roll, of faith and fire, Mike Farris and The Fortunate Few return to Victoria to stun audiences once more with what Rolling Stone describes as a “supersized voice filled with the electricity of Saturday night and the godly grace of Sunday mornings.”
Opening for this evening will be Vancouver’s rockabilly trio Cousin Harley.
