On the road from Halifax, NS, Steel Cut Oats and Sleepy Kicks join locals Sadie McFadden and Mobius Trip live for your eyes and ears.
Steel Cut Oats:
Steel Cut Oats is a vibrant 5-piece indie pop band from Halifax, NS. Their female-fronted sound blends rock, pop, and punk with infectious lyrics. Their 2022 debut EP, At The Eleventh Hour, earned them the title of ‘Rock Recording of the Year’ and a nomination for ‘New Artist Recording of the Year’ at the 2023 Nova Scotia Music Awards. Renowned for their harmonious melodies, upbeat backbeats, and synth embellishments, a Steel Cut Oats live show is magnetic, feminine, and energetic. Their latest EP, Top Autonomy, delves into post-party introspection and youthful themes, showcasing an upbeat, punk-forward sound that sets them apart from their previous release.

Sleepy Kicks:
Worth the ringing in your ears and the beer grime on your shoes, Sleepy Kicks are playing the loudest indie garage hooks legally allowed under Maritime law. The group found their footing writing songs in the dark & damp basements of rental apartments, and bring that same grit & dampness to their live performances. The band is made up of four pals from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Sleepy Kicks' latest project, "FIZZ", showcases the band's own brand of sticky indie-pop. Working with John Mullane (In-Flight Safety) of Future Dad Studios, they created a sound that is both gritty and well-balanced; a polished distortion that supports catchy hooks and cathartic breakdowns.

Mobius Trip:
If you're looking for an alt-rock inspired band that breaks the mold, you're in the right place. Möbius Trip loves to play around with guitar effects and non-traditional instruments to leave a unique impression on their music. They also try to keep the music light, while lyrically exploring darker themes. So take a trip down their strip, you'll be there forever...
