Famed Canadian comedienne Beatrice Lillie (1894 -1989) was known as ‘The Funniest Woman in the World’ for five decades, acclaimed for hilarious performances in London and New York, alongside such legendary colleagues as Noel Coward and Gertie Lawrence. MAD LADY PEEL dramatizes the highs and lows of Bea's remarkable life, while showcasing her signature comedy songs and sketches.Featuring a cast of nine actors in multiple roles, this original play is written by and stars Kirsten Van Ritzen. It is presented as a staged reading directed by Ian Ferguson. General audience, suggested age 15+.
Doors open 6:30 Performance begins 7pm. Two acts with intermission.
Advance $12 at Eventbrite or $15 Cash at the door 6:30. Seats are limited, advance tix highly recommended.
