SC: https://soundcloud.com/mob-bounce
Mob Bounce consists of The Northwest Kid (Craig Edes) & Earthchild (Travis Hebert). The Gitxsan and Cree Duo travel the country by way of Witset, BC and Saskatoon, SK.
Mob Bounce is a blend of modern day EDM production and the socially conscious messaging of Hip-Hop in the early 90's; with a focus on social messaging from an Indigenous perspective.
The two young men have been facilitating songwriting and beat making residencies in various First Nations communities, and are set to release their first studio EP with Winnipeg based producer Boogey the Beat.
The dynamic duo have performed in places such as Stanley Park in Vancouver, BC, Nathan Phillips Square in Downtown Toronto, and the Museum of Human Rights in Winnipeg, MB.
Noisey Canada described their last single by saying, "Mob Bounce and Boogey the Beat's 'Vision Quest' Is a Spiritual Slammer."
DEBBY FRIDAY (Vancouver)

What does it mean to identify as a challenge, as trouble?
A self-described experimentalist, born in Nigeria, raised in Montreal, and now working in Vancouver; DEBBY FRIDAY is an anomaly. Her work spans the spectrum of the audio-visual, resisting categorizations of genre and artistic discipline. She is at once a sound theorist and musician, composer and performer, video artist, poet and PUNK GOD. Debby got her start in music as an internationally touring DJ known for her daring, idiosyncratic sets, where she has opened for both Mykki Blanco and Princess Nokia. In March 2018, she released her first self-produced EP, titled BITCHPUNK, to reverberating underground acclaim. Featured in several publications, including: Thump, Loud & Quiet, Bandcamp, Le Canal Auditif and Mask Magazine. The later of which describes the artist as, “intricately dexterous and dangerous… whose spiraling interconnections span oceanic speakers, and pan in and out of Yoruba poetries, contemporary queer woman and non-binary-identified underground music communities, and various generations challenging the order of things, [her] against-ness as a propulsion for creation.”
Friday’s multi-disciplinary practice explores themes of ritual and feminine aggression as well as discourses of power, forces of diaspora and the aesthetics of eroticism. Her second release, also self-engineered and produced, is due in 2019 and features NON’s own Chino Amobi and Deathbomb Arc’s, Lana Del Rabies. Debby describes it as, “hot noise: full of grief and full of relief. It is the painful and pleasurable next step, the sacrificial offering of my old life to the new.”
Grossbuster

When he's not pondering just how dope his moniker is, Victoria's Grossbuster is making beats. And we don't mean just "in the studio"- this fella works his midi controller and proceeds to bash out the riddims live. It's a sight to behold and an amazing mix of drums and samples to hear.

This event will take place on unceded Coast Salish Territories, specifically of the Lekwungen and WSÁNEĆ peoples. As we focus on building artistic and cultural bridges, we acknowledge the rich cultural history of the many peoples and rituals that have been affected by the ongoing process of dispossession and colonialism. We hold this understanding in our interactions and engagements with this land and its people.
