Event Description

11am Woodruff Marimba - Jenny from Shawnigan Lake has a student marimba band and it seemed a good way to start off Canada Day

Noon Steve McKinnon Trio - Steve brings along sidemen Bent on electric guitar and Jon on stand-up bass to aid him while he performs originals and the occasional cover that he honours thrown in

1pm Joe Charron - heard about this country folk /roots singer - songwriter on CBC some 25 years ago and he is still bringing on the new tunes and a new CD

2pm Clancy’s Front Porch - multi-instrumentalist trio from Victoria that are here so you can hear traditional folk as they play it

3pm PixElle - Cara / Naomi / Tanya are all singer-songwriters that combined their deliveries to support each other’s music

4pm Tropic Mayhem - time to wear your beach wear as Andy McCormack and crew bring on the beach party music for your listenin’ and dancin’ pleasures

5pm Lapp / Dobres / Dolan - spontaneous traditional folk? wild celtic flavours? knowing these three I would have to say superb music will be performed however you want to describe their musical journey

6pm Kendall Patrick Band - Kendall writes and sings indie-rock, Nico Rhodes is on keys, Caleb on drums, Max Frazer on bass... very powerful and fun

7pm Groove Social - Scott McGill has the r&b /soul/pop vocals and his rhythm section comes along just to guarantee you will move, if only in your chairs
