On April 9 and 10, Vancouver will be the home of one of the most exciting events of the year. To all those who love Cuban culture and Latin entertainment, April 9th and 10th should be marked on your calendars because the Second Annual Rueda de Casino (Cuban Salsa Wheel) Competition will be back, along with an unprecedented Cuban Gala Night.The 2005 Rueda de Casino Event will be an unforgettable celebration of authentic Cuban culture in Vancouver. Partial proceeds will be donated to The Canadian Cancer Society.
Saturday, April 9th will be a Cuban Gala Night at the Empire Landmark Hotel on Robson. There will be electrifying performances by the famous Cuban singer Maggie Carles coming from Miami, and an energetic, outstanding Cuban band, Son de Cuba. Various Cuban styles of dancing will also be a main attraction of the night. When the live music stops, DJ Cachete will be there to keep you moving!

2nd Annual Vancouver Rueda de Casino Competition
The second edition of this popular event will once again be held at The Plaza Club on Granville, right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Exciting dancing performances, cash prizes, and great door prizes. This will be an event not to be missed. Once the competition is over, it’s an open dance floor for everyone to keep the party going!
