Event Description
Today will be a special day for CanUS with the addition of Patrick Boyle on trumpet as well as Al Pease on clarinet & tenor sax, Victoria’s gift to the music world . Patrick is well known in his position as Assoc. Professor(Jazz Studies) at U. Vic School of Music. But his love of traditional jazz goes way back and he authentically represents the best of that early New Orleans music all presented with a Newfoundland joie de vivre you will love. He appears on over 50 commercial releases and also 3 acclaimed solo albums. PLUS:(where does he get the time???) Patrick is currently writing a book documenting the history of jazz music in his native Newfoundland. It is our second session with Patrick and you will remember the fun we had with him last time.
