Well known for being a local pioneer within the dubstep and bass music movement, Max has recently been making waves with his project Sabota and has been embracing the rawer side of techno and jackin' house in his popular DJ sets. Max and Sabota have performed at fesitvals like Mutek, Decibel, Shambhala, Bass Coast, and Symbiosis, and his music has seen support from some of the best in the biz including Skream, Shadow Child, Solomun, Addison Groove, and a host of others.To quote Resident Advisor's Andrew Ryce, "Max Ulis' increasingly diverse output could hardly be described with any one term, but it's all united by an extremely spare and dry aesthetic. Stripped back, pitch black, and stark, he strikes an enviable balance meshing the dark with the dance floor."
