SCULPTURE STUDIO:
Open House & Demo Day!
Sunday Aug 30th, 1-4pm

Come learn about Sculpture!!

1:30-2pm: What is Figurative Sculpture?
- overview of figurative sculpture
- learn about the contemporary realist movement

2-3pm: Interactive Sculpting Demonstration
- demonstrations on Portraiture, Figure Sculpting, and Molding & Casting (questions welcome)
- audience participation encouraged!

3-4pm: Try Your Hand at Sculpting!
- free chance to experiment with clay working from a live clothed model (no experience needed!)
- 20 min segments so all can participate!

Artist Bio: Melanie Furtado is a contemporary realist sculptor with a passion for the human figure. She works with live models to create figures and portraits that capture the individuality of the human spirit. She loves sharing her knowledge with others through her weekly studio classes, workshops and group trips abroad!
