Event Description
. Friday, September 20th IMU presents The RUSTIC SINNERS, The EAST VAN SCOUNDRELS, The BURNETTES & CHRISTIE ROSE @ The Railway Club, 579 Dunsmuir . Show 10pm / $10 cover at the door or purchase advance tickets online @ http://www.imuproductions.com/tixThe RUSTIC SINNERS - Founded by the third generation son of a tobacco farmer in Southern Ontario who watched it all go bad, his tales of loss drew a group of like-minded bastards from various punk, rock and bluegrass backgrounds who discovered a common joy in playing songs about being miserable. http://www.facebook.com/Therusticsinners
The EAST VAN SCOUNDRELS - Born and raised in the Maritimes, East Van Scoundrel Max Boyle has been living in Vancouver for about 5 years. He's been part of nearly a dozen local musical projects in that time while secretly distilling a batch of his own tunes, waiting for just the right time and the right friend to share them with. That time has come and that friend is you! http://maxboyle.bandcamp.com
The BURNETTES - Chugging their way through hypnotic laments, The Burnettes effortlessly recall the glory of mid-’90s slacker rock without sounding dated. Bringing bluesy delivery to an indie sensibility, their music remains fresh while paying homage to an era of honest folk rock bands. http://www.theburnettes.ca
CHRISTIE ROSE's captivating vocal delivery is put to the service of melodic beauty and lyrical subtlety, aiming for honesty without self-indulgence. She's absorbed a broad spectrum of ecelectic influences, developing a multi-faceted writing style with elements of folk, blues, and rock n' roll augmented by hints of jazz, rockabilly and country. http://myspace.com/thechristieroseparade
