Event Description

Big Surf Beer & Sixgill Sound present The Midnight Hours Album Release Party with special guests Year of the Wolf and Wasabi Fox on Saturday, March 16 at The Media Club (695 Cambie Street).

The culmination of years of musical dedication and experience has manifested into the soulful, feel good sound of The Midnight Hours. Catchy melodies and sticky rhythms poured into great song writing have inspired a unique blend of blues, rock, and reggae.

From the historic town of Fort Langley, BC, the band has been together
since 2010 with Sean Simpson on lead vocals/guitar, Grant Easingwood on bass/vocals, Devon Forsythe on drums/vocals, and Ana Serena on vocals/percussion.

Ontario born yet based on the West Coast, Year of the Wolf is a blues rock and roll band with razor sharp expression. The group is bent on keeping the roots of their music true to themselves, and transforming it with the independent character of the rainy city.

Vancouver’s Wasabi Fox bring to their music the raw echoes of garage band rockers and emulate the sounds of Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Steve Earle, Drive-By Truckers, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Sublime. The bands ‘in your face’ style – the relentless percussion and tight bass, cooled with bluesy funk guitar licks - compels their audiences to move, dance and really connect with the music.

Tickets for the show are $10 and are available at Ticketweb.ca. For more information on the bands and Sixgill Sound please visit http://www.westcoastrock.ca/band/the-midnight-hours/, www.facebook.com/yotwmusic, www.wasabifox.bandcamp.com and www.sixgillsound.com.
