Event Description

Auto Jansz has toured festivals through-out Canada while performing with her popular roots band, Barley Wik. With a blend of roots, ragtime and jazz, Auto delivers a brand of folk music that is both sophisticated and down-to-earth. She is a true story-teller, singing true tales of bootlegging rattlesnake charmers to madames of turn-of-the-century Winnipeg. www.autojansz.com

"sweet vocals, creative instrumentation and a feel-good vibe" - Kate Reid
"a wonderful blend of roots, folk and heartfelt lyrics" - Jason Valleau, Mountain View Music Festival
"heartfelt honesty, poignant music, and a sure, clear voice" - Lisa Szeker-Madden, Focus Magazine

Andrea June performs original and cover songs from roots to jazz. She plays regularly with artists such as Auto Jansz, Jennifer Louise Taylor, The Drawls, and has performed at venues through-out BC from Alix Goolden Hall to festivals such as Music on the Mountain. A former opera student, her musical roots span show-tunes, classical art song, jazz and pop, settling into a unique sound that is "haunting while jazzy folk." - CFUV www.myspace.com/nevermindthemoon; www.andrearoutley.com

Enigmatic Canadian folkstress, MArina, recently released her indie album “Moving to Appear”. Isolated in the forests of northern Canada for four months of the year MArina communes with the natural world to produce her unearthly harmonies, heartbeat guitar riffs and illuminated lyrics.
MArina feels familiar. It is not uncommon when talking with strangers for them to say “Do I know you?” The same could be said about her music. A familiar Sound. MArina connects the dots between the seen and unseen producing sounds to invoke that “at once far away but at home feeling”. www.aboutmetoyou.com
