some info on the bands:

Semi-Tone Riot (http://cfox.supernova.com/SemiToneRiot)

They first started out in 2010 as a late night acoustic project by lead singer Barry Green. After playing solo acoustic stuff around town Barry wanted to rock the songs up with a faster tempo and heavier guitars. This meant the acoustic guitar would be collecting some dust while the electrics got busted out.
So in early 2011 Barry called up some fellow musician friends, which included Ms. RC adding her Raspy tone on backup vocals. After some juggling of band members, late night rehearsals and studio time, STR was formed. Since forming, STR has been able to lay down some solid tracks for their upcoming album. The band is keeping busy with upcoming shows, rehearsals, and Barry is always non-stop with writing new tunes. Catch them this summer rippin it up at a venue near you!

One Life Animal: (http://onelifeanimal.com/)

Clawing its way onto the scene, One Life Animal is a four-headed tone monster leading the evolution of rock in Vancouver. Blending heavy guitar, pouncing bass, thundering drums and an intense, melodic style of vocals, they play heavy yet accessible music that carries on the tradition of grungy, west coast rock. Together Tom, Shawn, Tocha and Duncan make celebratory, forceful and music that goes for the jugular and never lets go!!
