Event Description
T.Nile:Since releasing her debut CD, "At My Table" in July of '06, T. Nile has toured her "unique and heartfelt sonic textures" through Canada, The USA, Germany, Denmark, France, Holland, and Belgium. She has been invited to play some of Europe and North America's top festivals and given title of "Best New/Emerging Artist" at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, as well as being named "Critic's Favorite New Discovery" in Penguin Eggs. More recently, Nile was nominated for "Best Contemporary Vocalist" once again at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, and will take the road soon again through Canada, Europe and the USA, in support of her upcoming new release.
Melissa Bandura
"Melissa Bandura's melodic sound flows over you like a calm breeze, making you feel warm and fuzzy." Byron James, JRFM
Melissa is a Vancouver-based indie folk musician. With a background in classical violin, viola and flute, and subsequently learning folk guitar, mandolin, and banjo, Melissa's songs are skillfully written and uniquely orchestral, with her haunting vocals adding to the music's texture. After touring relentlessly at festivals throughout British Columbia and across Canada, Melissa is now working alongside Corwin Fox to craft an album that will place Melissa’s sound alongside fellow Orchestral and Indie Folk artists like the Great Lake Swimmers, Basia Bulat, and Sufjan Stevens.
