The Getaway Sticks are a 4 piece band from Vancouver BC. Combining the classic elements of Social Distortion, Johnny Cash, Springsteen and The Clash, then mixing it with the modern energy of The Hold Steady, Wilco and Rancid. The Getaway Sticks are not reinventing the wheel by any means, but they put a different spin on good old 3 chord madness. It's loud and fast, slow and familiar. It's catchy as @$% and we get away with it. It's been an amazing year with people slowly figuring us out. We've played with some great bands like The Creepshow, Last of the Bad Men, Smokin 45's, Bloodshot Bill and Swank. More shows to come, some new songs and a lot of "reverends" to be drunk yet !
