Event Description

Joseph Blood has been called the “Second coming of Gram Parsons”,
a “true renaissance man” and “one of the classiest musicians
you’ll meet”. Blood’s career has seen him playing and touring
as guitarist for Bend Sinister, but he still found time to foray to
the front of the stage, self producing his debut full length CD “For
Friends and Family”. “Hitting all the best parts of modern
Americana”, Blood’s songs are a blend of dark country, celtic punk
and chamber pop.
Eldorado have an unpretentious, alt-country sound all their own with
roots in old-style country and new-style Americana/Canadiana.
Tennessee born, Canadian raised, hot, sassy and sweet singer Angela
Fama leads the five-piece with a sultry voice reminiscent of Mazzy
Star, Patsy Cline and Margo Timmins that can cause you to both cry in
your whiskey and then toe-tap your tears away. Come September 4th,
in time for the tour kick off show at the Railway Club, Eldorado will
be releasing their first music video for the title track off of their
second album, Suitcase. But hey now, back up a bit there, speaking
of whiskey…
Shiloh Lindsey is releasing her self-produced second album, “Western
Violence and Brief Sensuality” for release Feb 2010 ~ sneak preview
song "Tired Of Drinking" will be out for the show. Hailed as “The
Whiskey Sipping Darling of the Vancouver Country Scene”, from murder
ballads and tales of the drunken disorderly to sensual songs about
cheating lovers, Lindsey is ready to share her craft and do some
whiskey sipping with the rest of the world.
"Buffaloswans are a 5-7 piece beast from Vancouver, BC who play in
the fields and forests of Cosmic American Music... relaxing pedal
steel workouts, Crazy Horse barnburner jams & American imagery speed
you down the highways of central Ohio through a blurry haze of rusty
farm implements & sonic revelations." "In some ways, their name says
it all - Buffalo Swans - the great fantastic on the great plains of
North America. This is music with one foot on the ground and another
foot in the clouds."
