Event Description
“Wouldn’t it be loverly?”Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle knows she could improve her life by improving her language skills. A chance meeting with snobbish linguistics professor Henry Higgins makes her decide to ask for his help. In order to win a bet, he agrees to transform her from guttersnipe to genteel lady in six months. What no one bets on is everyone falling in love with Eliza. Tons of terrific songs make this the most fun, intelligent and recognizable romantic comedy to ever hit the stage.
“Probably the greatest musical of all time!” ~ DAILY TELEGRAPH
The team of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe dominated the Broadway stage from 1947 to the 1960s with a string of hits including Camelot, Gigi, and Brigadoon. My Fair Lady is one of the most spectacular successes in American musical theatre, opening to unanimous raves, winning every major award, and holding the title of Broadway’s longest running musical for over a decade.
