Five albums into his career, Brad Paisley is a bona fide country music superstar. His two most recent records, Mud on the Tires and Time Well Wasted, both debuted at #1 on the Billboard country albums chart. He has been nominated for numerous awards by the CMA (with five wins) and ACM, and picked up four Grammy nominations last year. Brad has racked up five #1 hits, and those don’t even include career-making fan favourites such as “Whiskey Lullabye”, “Alcohol”, “Celebrity” and “Little Moments”. His four Arista Nashville albums have been certified platinum or double platinum, with total sales in excess of six million copies. Even more impressive is his range—Brad can sing about subjects such as alcohol or relationships in both humourous and emotionally devastating ways. His music incorporates bluegrass, ballads and blues, and Brad’s mix of traditional and modern influences has made him country music’s favourite young traditionalist as well as its most unpredictable hitmaker. He is also an exciting concert performer whose sold-out headlining concerts include his own computer-animated cartoons. This June he will release 5th Gear, which follows up his CMA and ACM Album of the Year Time Well Wasted. The first single, “Ticks”, an ode to backwoods love, is already a hit.

At only 16 years of age, Taylor Swift released her debut album, which went to #19 on the charts (and #3 on the country charts). The single “Tim McGraw” peaked at #6 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs, and the video made it to #1 on CMT. Her follow-up, “Teardrops on My Guitar”, debuted at #46 on the country charts. The Pennsylvania-born singer has appeared on Good Morning America and at the 2006 Academy of Country Music Awards.

Texas-based country music singer Jack Ingram has toured with Brooks & Dunn, Sheryl Crow, and many more. He has been releasing albums since 1992. He is currently riding high in the charts with his cover of the Hinder song “Lips of an Angel” from his latest album, This is It.

Kellie Pickler finished sixth on the fifth season of American Idol. Her debut single “Red High Heels” was released in the fall of 2006 and was followed by her full-length album Small Town Girl, which landed at #9 on the Billboard Top 200. She is nominated for Top New Female Vocalist at the 42nd Academy of Country Music Awards.
