VCC School of Music offers professional training with its innovative and eclectic program in jazz, world, electronic, classical music and beyond. While primarily a full-time two-year diploma program open by audition, many courses are available on a part-time basis, including basic musicianship classes for those with little or no musical background. VCC faculty are many of the most sought after artist/educators working in Vancouver's exciting, cosmopolitan music scene. Their years of training and experience help guide students into the professional music community. VCC offers a wide selection of performing ensembles, including the Willan Choir, Saxophone Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra, Latin Jazz Ensemble, Latin Percussion Ensemble, Gamelan Ensemble, Korean Ensemble, Madrigal Singers, VCC Concert Choir, New Music Ensemble and small jazz combos.
