Gordon D Smith

Gordon D Smith is a Vancouver Island artist working in charcoal, graphite, pastel, oil and acrylic. He has a background in graphic design, life drawing, figurative painting, computer graphics and business management. He studied fine art and graphic design at Douglas College and graduated with an Associate in Graphic and Communication Arts diploma.
 
Gord is currently an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) Victoria Chapter. His work has appeared in the Sidney and Sooke Fine Arts Shows and has garnered awards in FCA juried Exhibitions. While he explores various subject matter, he prefers to classify his artwork as "genre” painting — portraying people involved in work or regular day-to-day activities.
