Sharlene Stushnov-Lee

Sharlene Stushnov is an award-winning painter who works in oils, acrylics and watercolours.

She grew up on the outskirts of Vancouver and after graduating from a fine arts program in 1975, she moved to Calgary. At the encouragement of a friend, she joined the Canmore Artists and Artisans Guild and sold her first paintings at a show at the Banff Springs Hotel. It was the first of many shows. However, she longed for the coast and within a couple of years returned to BC and settled on Vancouver Island.

She has attended classes at the Victoria College of Art and Vancouver Island School of Art, as well as taken a variety of workshops with well-known artists.

Sharlene is an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA), a signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (AFCA) and Past President of the Victoria Chapter of the FCA. She was also a juried member of the International Guild of Realism. Sharlene was one of five directors at the Coast Collective Art Centre from 2010-2013, managing the art gallery there.

She currently resides in Victoria, with her family.
