Diane Berry has had a long, varied career as a performer, composer and teacher. She was born and raised in Ontario, graduating from York University's music program in the early '80s. Since that time she has lived and worked in Nova Scotia, Suva, Fiji, and Smithers, B.C.

In all of those locations she has been active as a performer, in Nova Scotia as principal flute of the Chebucto Orchestra, and as a recitalist at the Canadian Conservatory in Halifax. In Suva she performed at the Fiji Arts Club as well as the American and British embassies, and while in Smithers she was a founding member of the trio "Two Flutes & a Violin", recording and touring with them from the mid 1990's to the present day.

Now living in Victoria she continues to perform, teach and compose. She has been a soloist with the Hampton Orchestra, accompanied choirs and given numerous concerts with colleagues and friends throughout the region.

Her original work has been performed in Vancouver, Toronto, Seattle, Kitchener and Kamloops, She is an associate composer of the Canadian Music Centre, a member of the Canadian League of Composers and the Association of Canadian Women Composers.
