About

Los Nacos

since circa 2002
Combining mexican, blues, ethnic and folk roots influences, Los Nacos have created a sound something like Tex-Mex but with a clearly Canadian twist (TEX-MEXICANA) . Their music speaks of loves lost and found, music that conjures up far away tropical places while at the same time making you feel right at home. Singing in english, spanish and sometimes spanglish, Los Nacos are sure to inspire all who enjoy good music and interesting lyrical content. Los Nacos won the ASM Battle of the Bands in Edmonton in 2004 and are presently recording a full length CD at The Audio Lounge in Vancouver with producer and old friend Mark Gordon behind the board. The release is planned for spring 2007. Recent venues that have enjoyed Los Nacos are: Side Track Café, the Ottwell Pub, the Black Dog Free House, the Hi-Run club (all in Edmonton), The Fairview Pub, The Blarney Stone, Alexis, (all in Vancouver),Half Moon Bay Resort,(Pender Harbour BC) Roberts Creek Halloween Howl(Roberts Creek, BC) Egmont Community Centre(Egmont, BC) Wild Oates & Notes Festival (Tofield, AB) North Country Fair (AB), The ... more...
