They're a trio of small town hicks channelling fast, heavy, old-fashioned 3-chord punk rock through pagan/druidic ancestral RNA. CTW are as dark, heavy and oppressive as a B.C. Liberal human-services budget, yet as tortured, spontaneous and manic as Richard Pryor's flaming freebase-sprint. Imagine Motorhead using High On Fire's equipment after a three-day amphetamine bender while on tour with Black Flag. The Players: Paddy Duddy - Bass, Lead Vocals Paddy "Beauty School Dropout" Duddy is a potato-scarfin', Guinness swillin', Hair obsessing, fenian lad born in Derry, Northern Ireland and later weaned on punk and pints in the redneck mecca of Calgary, Alberta. After years sitting behind the drums with Vancouver punk legends Rusty Nails (no relation to Ron Hawkins) and a stint on pennywhistle with a failed reggae-meets-Irish-pub-songs project (Eire Irie), Paddy decided to evolve into a hotshot lead guitar player.
