Joanne Kimm

Each of Joanne's pieces of silver have been hand designed, cut, carved and polished. This means each piece is unique, no two pieces are ever identical. Joanne only uses sterling silver (925), pure silver, or 14k gold in her work.

After Joanne completed the Visual Arts Diploma Program at Camosun College in 2002 she became a member and student of the Cowichan Valley Rock Hounds and, as a member, Joanne began incorporating many of our local stones in her work. She takes great pride in show casing BC Laurel stone, Red Jasper, Jade, and Rhodonite in her pieces, as well as domestic yet beautiful beach stones like Dalasite, Sugar Quartz and Epidote.

A strong artistic background influenced Joanne to explore illustration and design. She has creates whimsical cartoon illustrations which are unique, original and unusual. Companies such as The Udder Guys in Cowichan bay have requested works from Joanne along with online sites, cross stitch charts, and book writers, all perfect examples of Joanne's ability as an Illustrator as well as portraying her sense of humour.
