About

Mike Herriott Quartet

A veteran performer, Mike Herriott has long-since achieved stature in both the jazz and classical worlds. He is a noted multi-instrumentalist, fluent with trumpet, trombone, flugelhorn and bass. He has also been a mainstay of Hugh Fraser’s VEJI for more than a decade, and has recorded frequently, both as a leader and on other artists’ projects. Aside from his very apparent skills as a soloist, Herriott is a gifted composer and arranger who combines solid chops with musical insight and lots of fresh ideas. This bold, exceptionally gifted musician will be performing with Pat Coleman guitar, Ken Lister bass and Blaine Wikjord drums. “Whether he’s playing a trumpet, a trombone or a flugelhorn, Herriott blows a fountain of musical ideas out of each one of them.” - Ross Porter, After Hours
