DJing many different types of events for the last 5 years, he developed a keen sense of what moves people in many different environments. Starting as a house party DJ, he played regular top 40 stuff. He tried playing more underground music, some places it went over very well, and other places it "didn't go over very well at all." In 1998 he decided to try playing only underground music for fun.
