The Gryphon Trio

Named for the mythical half-lion / half-eagle creature that was reputed to be a guardian of treasures and a symbol of the connection between psychic energy and cosmic force, the Gryphon Trio is known as one of Canada's foremost piano trios. The Trio, comprising Violinist Annalee Patipatanakoon, cellist Roman Borys and pianist Jamie Parker, have toured internationally and recorded Haydn, Mendelssohn and Dvorak piano trios. The Trio is also committed to commissioning and performing new works by contemporary composers and will shortly record a CD of commissioned works
