The Unexpected

The East and West of Canada’s creative music scene meet in the Unexpected. Vancouver-based guitarist Ron Samworth and drummer Dylan van der Schyff along with Montreal guitarist Bernard Falaise and drummer Pierre Tanguay create topsy-turvy music that slip-slides to unexpected destinations, providing a constant source of small delights and discoveries. Moody, ravaged guitar-scapes, the twittering of birds, epic rock grooves, and deep silences—the Unexpected’s sonic world is well worth a visit.
