iconoclast trio

The Iconoclast Trio is George McFetridge piano, James McRae drums and Scott White bass, with special guest Larry Miller saxophone/flute. Although in many ways a classic piano trio – some critics hear a lot of Ahmad Jamal in the playing – they live up to their name, often making unexpected choices. Their song list includes a mix of standards and a selection of the more than 300 tunes composed by McFetridge, a native Edmontonian and Berklee School of Music grad who has performed with the likes of Woody Herman, Benny Golson, Lee Konitz and Kenny Wheeler.
