Alister Spence Trio

This trio was formed in Sydney eight years ago and has steadily become a dynamic and wonderfully original unit. Their highly acclaimed debut CD Three is a Circle was released in Australia in 2000 on Records/ Universal Music. With their second CD Flux (Nov 2003 Rufus/ Universal) the band takes a big jump ahead, prompting reviews such as ‘Sydney-based pianist Alister Spence plays like a dream’ (Shane Nichols Financial Review) and ‘Beautiful’ (John Clare Sydney Morning Herald). The three members of this band have a long history of playing together, being well known for their collaboration in the ARIA (Australian Record Industry Awards) award-winning band Clarion Fracture Zone (also winner of Five Stars in Downbeat magazine USA for their 1993 release Zones on Parade).
