About

The End

Formed in the early spring of ?99 this Canadian quintet consisting of members Steve Watson, Anthony Salajko, Sean Dooley, Tyler Semrick-Palmateer and Andrew Hercules immediately began writing songs with the simple intention of making good music. By May of ?99 the band had written their first four songs which were released in an untitled demo. The band also started to perform in the southern Ontario hard-core and punk rock scene. After gaining immediate recognition for what has been called one of the most intense live shows ever, the band set out on their first tour in September of ?99. The 2-week stint along the east coast of the US, established a following of loyal The End fans, a following which would expand to an empire in the coming year and a half. The End used this time to of course further their live performance and experience while also fine tuning their sound of complex, rhythm driven music. After receiving offers from respected labels such as Eulogy and Tribunal they decided to stay as relatively independent as possible and released their first CD recording on Re-define Records an accomplices label from the southern-Ontario locale. Transfer Trachea Reverberations from Point: False Omniscient (TTRfP:FO) is the first full release by the band, one which has indeed pushed the limits of ?rock? music.

The End is a full-time occupation for all those involved and as such they are looking for someone or something as equally serious to help push the band as far as possible. Judging from the current impact of the band in their local scene as well as cities such as Albany, Philadelphia and now with TTRfP:FO behind them it seems like only a matter of time before there?s nowhere to hide.
