Paul Willms competently navigates his smoke worn voice and beat up strat through a series of standard blues excersises: acoustic/slide guitar blues, funky blues, wah wah Voodoo Chil blues, I'm-gonna-sex-you-up blues. But it's the local flavour that ultimately gives taxi the greenlight.Getting down in in Fan Tan Alley, eyeing up the streetwalkers on Governmanet Street and of course saying a prayer for the taxi, who sees all, knows all, and understands the blues better than most. -Monday Magazine
