Growing up in Canada's Arctic Circle doesn't provide much musical variety, but it certainly makes an interesting study of human interaction. For guitarist Marcus Martin, native to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, the absence of musical selection combined with the abundance of human culture he experienced early on in life contributed to the development of the artist.

When Marcus moved to Toronto, Canada, he welcomed his exposure to the numerous musical styles he had little opportunity to hear in the North. This new experience laid the groundwork for him to experiment as a musician. Marcus employs technology's latest offerings, often pushing it beyond the developer's original design intent. During live performances, Marcus marries studio trickery with a solid performance, resulting in an unusual blending of airy soundscapes and haunting melodies.
