Combining raw energy and experimental soundscapes, Avatar creates meaning within melody, emotion and noise. The result, a sound that is accesible while maintaining musical complexity and integrity. Influences include, but are by no way limited to, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Tool and Radiohead as well as various jazz and electronica bands.
The philosophy behind Avatar is that of making passionate music filled with observations and exploration on to modern society, the individual and the human experience.
Formed in early 2004, Avatar are currently working in the studio on a new cd, which is self produced. They plan to release it as an EP in December 2004.
