SHIFTKIT was Formed in 2000 out of Langley B.C. and gelled instantly, All Four members knew exactly where they were heading and Shiftkit felt instant gratification. Within the first year of forming Shiftkit, the release of "Sonic Riot," a ten song, fully original cd was born and from that came two songs featured on EA Sports video games. Shiftkit's second album "The Madness," containing the hugely successful first single "Stronger" was released in April of 2003. Stronger went on to become one of the most requested songs at 99.3 The Fox. .....SHIFTKIT was one of the winners of The Vancouver Seeds contest in 2003. What is Vancouver Seeds you ask? Vancouver Seeds is an annual contest put on by Vancouver's powerhouse rock radio station 99.3 The Fox. It asks for independent rock bands to enter a three song demo and short bio into the station. Each year over 500 bands enter in hopes to win the coveted prize as a Seeds winner. The winner gets heavy radio airplay, high quality showcases and meetings with A&R reps from several big record labels and a chance to show their stuff.
