The Slivers

I lived in Sidney in the '80's playing in DRIVER and met the SLIVERS whose members were the sisters Gronow;Andy and Gaye,vocals and guitar,Murray Pettinger -guitar and vocals,Yvonne Cabot-bass and LesLee(I beleive) on drums.DRIVER used to jam with THE SLIVERS @ the olde Sidney Hotel.- a fellow musician;Nigel Hawkins@ hawkins.nc@forces.gc.ca The Slivers is my band name; yvonne's logo Kathy Westwood was the initial drummer for the Slivers; andi@grahamhoward.ca As the lead singer for the SLIVERS, the band name created by myself, Andi Gronow -needs to be corrected on your information site. Murray Pettinger named the band, PELICAN. The name Slivers was appreciated by my now deceased sister, Gaye Gronow. Yvonne designed the logo once my sister and myself left the band. I was never in a band called PELICAN. I was the lead singer in the Slivers. Often I was known to state, "The band name is the Slivers, we get under your skin" Thanks for recognizing the early singing careers of Gaye and Andi Gronow This particular album by The Slivers was just a Trio, Murray ,Yvonne and Kathy.
