Shred Kelly

Since the inception of Shred Kelly, the Fernie BC based “Stoke-Folk” band have been re-defining what “folk music” means in Canada. Through their individual pan-Canadian backgrounds, Tim Newton, Sage McBride, Jordan Vlasschaert, Ian Page-Shiner, and Ty West have amplified the traditional sound of folk music with a more contemporary approach. They have humbly pioneered Canada’s modern folk sound – pushing the boundaries of the genre, and creating “Stoke-Folk” – a sound that truly encapsulates the peaks and valleys that define Canada.
