The Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra are a phenomenon like no other. The ten charismatic members of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra inject a manic intensity into their diverse and original repertoire of traditional Jamaican ska, hardcore garage-surf-punk-ska, rock, jazz, funk and reggae, bringing their almost 20 years of skilled musicianship to the wild proceedings. Never stuck in a pre-cast mold of third wave ska, TSPO possess substantial jazz chops - the horn section alone is well qualified to tear up the hottest big band. Formed in 1985, they made a huge impact in the Japanese indie/underground music scene with their initial offering of punk ska.
