Monterey County Honors Band

Monterey County, California has a wonderful jazz-education program, which involves supporting tours for the Monterey Jazz Festival’s Honor Band, a showcase for twenty of the finest high school musicians of Monterey County. Directed by Paul Contos, the band has performed in the Vienna Jazz Festival, the Umbria Festival in Perugia, Italy, Montreux’s Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the North Sea Festival in Holland, Vitorio Jazz Festival in Vitorio, Spain, and the Vienne Jazz Festival in Vienne, France – and now in Victoria, at JazzFest International!
