20 years of age has brought more than just a fresh start for the Seattle artist, Jordan Lake, and his blend of clean piano/acoustic music. Two years after the release of “A Collection of the Past” (2008 LP), production plans for “Redline” were put into action for winter of 2010. Created for strong promotional purposes, and a chance to hear Lake’s growth as a songwriter, “Redline” will proudly stand as his strongest compilation and representation to-date. Teaming up with producers Brian Fennell and Brian Eickelberger (Barcelona “Absolutes” 2009 LP), it is easy to be anticipant for the Redline release. Keying-in on the poppy “Playing Games” and the emotional “Rekindled” that will be on the album, one can see that Lake’s abilities bring a large variety of styles and dispositions to the table. But the combination of poignant lyrics and delicate instrumentation says it best, for there is definitely a feeling of maturity and sensitivity in his writing that easily surpasses Lake’s young age.
